Three more persons infected with COVID

Another three people, one male and two females, tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.

These new cases were recorded after 234 COVID-19 tests were conducted. The infected persons are from Region Three (Essequibo Islands- West Demerara) and Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica).

Now, a total of 71,468 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.

Meanwhile, there is just one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), another in institutional isolation and 29 persons in home isolation.

To date, 70, 156 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease while 1, 281 have died.
