IGG 2022: Guyanese dominant in Table Tennis win over Suriname
Guyana’s Table Tennis players once again turned in dominant performances against Suriname, claiming seven out of a possible eight victories on the final day of the Inter-Guyana Games 2022 at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, on Sunday.
The Guyanese produced a similar effort on Saturday, completely outplaying their Dutch-speaking neighbours.
It meant the Table Tennis title will remain in Guyana, earning the hosts bragging rights for a year.
The Games allowed the Guyana Table Tennis Association to showcase the next generation of players, all of whom impressed during the weekend.

Boys Singles: Shariq Bipat (Suriname) defeated Saalih Rahim (Guyana) 3-2 (11-7, 1-11, 11-5, 11-13, 11-5)
Boys Singles: Colin Wong (Guyana) defeated Shariq Bipat (Suriname) 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-6)
Boys Singles: Ebo McNeil (Guyana) defeated Shariq Bipat (Suriname) 3-0 (11-8, 11-5, 11-8)
Girls Singles: Akira Watson (Guyana) defeated Maria Kanhai (Suriname) 3-0 (11-6, 11-2, 11-1)
Girls Singles: Jasmine Billingy (Guyana) defeated Yasmein Jodiwongso (Suriname) 3-0 (11-1, 11-3, 11-4)
Girls Singles: Samara Sukhai (Guyana) defeated Kayleigh Idrisman (Suriname) 3-0 (11-3, 11-4, 11-4)
Girls Doubles: Shackecy Damon and Seona Barker (Guyana) defeated Kayleigh Idrisman and Yasmein Jodiwongso (Suriname) 3-2 (5-11, 11-6, 11-6, 10-12, 11-6)
Mixed Doubles: Akira Watson and Ebo McNeil (Guyana) defeated Maria Kanhai and Shariq Bipat (Suriname) 3-0 (11-3, 11-8, 11-9)
