Another 84 people were infected with the novel coronavirus in six days, based on information provided by the Ministry of Health.
The Health Ministry, in its COVID-19 dashboard released on Tuesday, stated that three new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The last dashboard was issued on December 21; since then, 84 new cases were recorded. The new cases were recorded from 597 tests.
Meanwhile, there are two patients in the COVID-9 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 10 people in institutional isolation and one person in institutional quarantine.
There are also 232 persons in home isolation.
To date, 1,286 people have died from COVID-19 in Guyana, while 70,517 have recovered. Since March 2020, a total of 72,047 people were infected locally.
