The News Room was informed by Regional Commander Dion Moore that the young lad had regained consciousness days after the accident and was discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital.

However, his condition worsened, and he was re-admitted to the hospital.

Following the death of the child, she is now facing criminal charges.

Commander Moore said the file into the investigation was submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice but now it will have to be adjusted following an autopsy of the child.

Wesley suffered severe head injuries and had to be airlifted to the Georgetown Public Hospital a few hours after the accident.

How traumatic for the family. Wesley fooled everyone. Just as persons felt that all was well he succumbed to his injuries. My sympathy goes out to his mother and other grieving relatives. May his soul rest in peace. He has indeed gine too soon.
