Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday arrested three persons, including two females, following the discovery of 41 grams of cocaine at a Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara house.
Police Headquarters said the discovery was made around 20:00 hrs while ranks carried out a search at the house in the presence of the 27-year-old owner.
“On the kitchen table one black bulky bag was seen which when opened contained a quantity of whitish rock like substances suspected to be cocaine,” Police said.
The home owner was told of the allegation and Police said he replied, “Officer let we deal with it.”
He along with two other persons, a 30 year-old female and a 24-year-old female from Essequibo, who were present at the time were taken into custody.
They were escorted to the Wales Police Station where the suspected cocaine was weighed and amounted to 41.6 grams.
There, Police said the male suspect admitted ownership of the cocaine. Investigations are ongoing.
