Fidel Charles, 23, of Warapoka Village, Region One appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court charged with having an illegal firearm and ammo in his possession.
Police Headquarters said that on May 30, 2023, Charles had one 12 guage shotgun and two live matching catridges in his possession.
He was charged with possession of firearm and ammunition without license contrary to Section 16(2) (a) of the Firearm Act Chapter 16:05.
The charge was read to him by Magistrate Crystal Lambert.
Charles denied the allegation and bail was granted in the sum of $400,000.
