The Guyana Police Force on Wednesday issued a wanted bulletin for Sasenarine Sankar of the #69 Village, Corentyne, Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) after he attempted to murder his ex-partner, Sandy Persaud.
Sankar, also known as ‘Barber’ and ‘Wire’, allegedly committed the crime on April 5, 2023, at the #55 Village, Corentyne.
Last week, Persaud told the News Room that she ended the relationship with Sankar after he chopped her several times causing her to be hospitalised.
She, however, said she lives in constant fear because the man continues to threaten her life and that of her relatives.
She also claimed that even though she made several complaints to the Police and even secured a restraining order, the Police have made no effort to arrest the perpetrator who continues to roam freely.
Now the Police are seeking to apprehend Sankar.
