Community Enhancement Workers to now get $40,000 monthly

Community Enhancement Workers (CEW), who are those people involved in enhancing the aesthetics of communities and infrastructure countrywide, will now get a $40,000 monthly stipend, President Dr. Irfaan Ali announced on Thursday.

These workers are among those who will benefit from increases and new allowances. The Head of State said 2,000 workers will benefit.

Previously, the stipend for these workers was increased from $25,000 to $35,000.

  1. Good Job Mr. President but the 10 Days limers / workers are still getting a better deal.(i.e 10 days LIming for same 40000 per mnth.
    What about the private sector people they voted for you too I know that those who entitled will benefit from the pension bonus etc but can you not announced tax free salaries up to 200,000 per month for December 23 these workers who will probable benefit with an extra 10-20000 dlrs or no tax deduction for December. Come on Sir use your good office to do so and may Allah reward you bountifully.
