Clarence Lucius and Christal Welch will lead a contingent of 30 volleyball players at the Inter-Guiana Games in Suriname over the next three days.
Welch captains the female contingent and is vice-captained by Rennia Liverpool, while the males are led by Lucius, with Akadian Andrews as his deputy.
According to a Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) release, French Guiana will not compete in Volleyball, leaving it for Guyana and the host to do battle.
Suriname is both IGG’s overall defending champion and male and female volleyball champions.
Meanwhile, the GVF President Levi Nedd will act as head of delegation and male coach while Rodney Fredericks coaches the females.
Luen David will assist both coaches while Shenley Kendal is the Chaperon.
Wrrol Fingall and Levi Nedd Jr. are the Technical assistants.
The females will be in action from Saturday at 10:00h, followed by the males immediately after.
