Police are investigating the alleged murder of Chooromanie Tulsie, a 38-year-old Accountant of Lot 26 Unity Mahaica, East Coast Demerara.
Police headquarters said the woman’s body was found at around 08:00 hrs Wednesday in the lower flat of her house. The body was on the ground with a piece of cloth stuffed inside her mouth and a knife stuck at the centre of her throat.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out.
The area was canvassed for CCTV cameras.
Several persons were interviewed and statements during the Police’s ongoing investigation.
