Kilcoy man died from blunt trauma, fractured skull – PME

A post mortem examination conducted on the remains of 42-year-old Chetram Ramjattan of Kilcoy Settlement, Corentyne, Berbice, on Friday revealed that he died from blunt trauma to the head and a fractured skull.

The body was identified by his sister, Kamaldai Ramjattan, and later handed over to the family for burial.

Ramajattan’s body was found in a drain in the neigbouring community of Fyrish Village in the vicinity of the Arjune’s Chicken Farm on November 30.

The suspects have been identified as Simon Wills, 28, and Henry Venezuela, 25, both labourers attached to the chicken farm. A female Venezuelan national is also said to be in Police custody.

The man’s body was found at the back of the property where the suspects lived.

Ramjattan left his sister’s house on November 25 and was not heard from or seen until his body was discovered. Reports indicate that he and the Venezuelan nationals had a misunderstanding during which he was beaten and chopped to death.

His butchered remains was found in a drain at the back of the property; his face and head were completely disfigured and there were numerous chop wounds about the body.
