A 47-year-old woman died on Tuesday night after she was struck down by a minibus on the Le Destin, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) public road.
Dead is Anita Narine of Providence, East Bank Demerara.

The accident occurred around 19:45hrs.
According to a Police report, the minibus was speeding, when Narine, who was attempting to cross the road, was struck down.
She was picked up in a conscious state by the driver and taken to the Sheriff Hospital at Leonora, West Coast Demerara. Narine succumbed while receiving medical attention.
Her body was taken to the Ezekiel funeral home where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted.
The driver of the minibus was taken into custody and is assisting with the investigation.
“A breathalyser test was conducted on the driver and .05% and .04% were found in his breath,” Police headquarters stated.
I am just sick and tired reading about road accidents resulting in deaths of ordinary citizens by CRIMINALS
allowed to drive, who killed wantonly.
The laws are too lax for these CRIMINALS.
