Safraz Khan attempted murder: Police issue wanted bulletin for two more men

Two more men from North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, are wanted by the Guyana Police Force in relation to the shooting incident of Safraz Khan in front his Austin Street, Campbellville, Georgetown home on July 6, 2023.

The wanted men are: Joel/Joe Sars of Lot 3667 North Ruimveldt and Shannon Braxton Wilson of Lot 2570 Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Police issued a wanted bulletin for Lennin Messiah in connection with the same shooting.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the said wanted person, please contact the police on 225-6940, 225-8196, 226-7476, 225-2317, 225-8196, 227-1149.

According to the Police, a lone gunman, dressed in a yellow raincoat, pounced on Khan as he arrived home and it was reported that the attacker trailed the businessman from his worksite at Eccles, East Bank Demerara at around 20:07 hrs.

Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum previously told the News Room that investigators from the Forensic Video Analysis Unit were working to enhance the image of the suspect from available CCTV footage in order to “properly” identify him.

Police Headquarters disclosed that several loud explosions, suspected to be gunshots, were heard, and upon looking outside, persons observed the victim’s car, PVV 8859, parked in front of the yard. They saw Khan was seated in the driver’s seat bleeding from wounds on his feet and hands.
