The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) is set to bowl off its Male Under-15 Inter-county 50-over competition on Sunday (January 28) with two matches in the city.
The competition will feature teams from the three counties- Berbice, Demerara and Essequibo- and a Select XI.
It is from this competition that the Guyana team will be selected to compete in the Cricket West Indies’ Rising Stars Regional Under-15 Championship in Antigua in March 2024.
Berbice will be led by the exciting talent Adrian Hetmyer, the nephew of West Indies middle-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer and son of former national youth batsman Seon Hetmyer, while Demerara will be captained by another promising batsman Emmanuel Lewis.
Elisha Ramdat has been appointed captain of Essequibo, while Tameshwar Deonandan has been entrusted with leading the Select XI.
