Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Thursday arrested two foreign nationals in connection with the discovery of cocaine and marijuana.
CANU noted that its officers were conducting a follow-up investigation in the Cornelia Ida Housing Scheme area, West Coast Demerara and while searching a residence, they found 518 brick-like parcels, wrapped in transparent plastic suspected to be cannabis and 12 brick-like parcels suspected to be cocaine.
“Two foreign nationals were arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotics, which tested positive for cocaine and foreign marijuana known as Creepy,” CANU noted in a press release.
The investigation is ongoing.
