Melroy La Rose, called Melo, is wanted by Police for the murder of his 24-year-old wife, Nikesha Sutton.
Sutton was allegedly murdered by La Rose on Monday at their Parika, East Bank Essequibo, house. The Guyana Police Force issued a wanted bulletin for the 24-year-old man Tuesday night.
His last known addresses are Parika and Kamwata Village in Region One.
According to reports, the man got home at about 15:00 hrs in an intoxicated state. He and Nikesha got into an argument but the man subsequently left the premises. At about 17:00 hrs, he returned with two alcoholic beverages and again, he got into an argument with Nikesha. A scuffle then ensued.
Nikesha’s sister told Police that she (the sister) intervened to stop the scuffle. Thereafter, the man reportedly told Nikesha to pack her clothes and move out of the house. Nikesha then placed her clothes into a bucket and was making her way through a track to her sister’s house nearby when the suspect picked up one of the beer bottles, broke it and dealt one stab to her neck.
He then fled the scene.
