Buxton man nabbed with AK-47 ammo jailed for two years

Orin Younge, the 36-year-old security officer who was nabbed with AK-47 ammunition after Police engaged him on a domestic violence report, was sentenced to two years imprisonment on Monday.

Police Headquarters reported that Younge, who is also known as Orin Matthews, was caught with 15 live AK-47 ammunition rounds at his Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD) premises on Friday.

Younge was arraigned before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on Monday. He pleaded guilty and was then sentenced to two years imprisonment.
