MACORP commissions 326 CAT at EKAA HRIM Resources, certifies excavator operators at BK Quarries

A MACORP Team headed by Sales & Marketing Manager Jordi Pinol today commissioned a 326 CAT excavator at EKAA HRIM Resources Inc., Cuyuni as the company begins its quarry operation.

Chief Operating Officer Shiva Kumar expressed his gratitude to MACORP for their support. MACORP provided training for four operators for the quarry.

“This marks the beginning of a promising partnership with MACORP, our equipment supplier, whom we thank for their timely delivery and continued support,” he said.

Other team members from MACORP included Rodney Jaramillo, EMS Superintendent; Conan Wilson and Mahindra Singh, Sales Representatives; Dexter Savory, Trainer; and Nadia DeAbreu, Marketing & Communications Manager.

MACORP will continue to provide support through its technology platform, vision link, to monitor the performance of the excavator, enroll the machine in the Caterpillar Fuel Promise program, and provide parts support through its Bartica branch.

EKAA HRIM Resources Inc. was established a year ago, with the inauguration led by His Excellency President Irfaan Ali. Since then, the company has been putting systems in place to begin operation. The company employs over 60 staff members.

Meanwhile, MACORP used the opportunity to present certificates to 11 excavator operators at BK Quarries who recently completed the training program. MACORP facilitated the training at the Mazaruni River location.
Brian Tiwari of BK Group of Companies said the company is definitely better off with the training provided.
“Not only are we able to operate the machines better but this training has equipped the team with premaintenance  knowledge ans skills which will support productivity and efficiency.
“Now we can buy more machines because it means we’ll have more production,” Tiwari said.
