Six Brazilians arrested at illegal mining site in Potaro River
Six Brazilian nationals were arrested on Sunday after an illegal mining site was found during an operation between the Joint Services and the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC).
Police Headquarters reported that six Brazilians, two women and four men, were arrested for illegal mining in the Amatuk Potaro River, Region Eight (Potaro- Siparuni).
