An altercation ended in death on Sunday when Alexis Roxanne Harris, a 29-year-old farmer from Hill Foot, Linden Soesdyke Highway, was stabbed by her reputed husband, James Lord, at her sister’s residence in Free and Easy, West Bank Demerara.

The violent confrontation unfolded around 12:20 hrs when Lord, who had visited the residence to see his children, became enraged after Harris was on her cell phone.

Junior was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital and is in serious but stable condition. Harris was later pronounced dead  at the hospital and has been taken to Ezekiel Funeral Parlor for a post-mortem examination.

Police apprehended Lord with the help of the public. He was found with self-inflicted wounds and remains under police guard at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
