The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, through the Childcare and Protection Agency (CPA), has responded to recent concerns raised by a social media post involving an 11-year-old child.

In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the situation was investigated thoroughly.

The matter was reported to the police, and an individual allegedly involved in the case was detained. The case file is now under review by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The Ministry emphasizes the importance of protecting the child’s privacy and urges the public not to disclose any information, including photos or details, that could reveal the child’s identity.

The affected child is currently receiving both psychosocial and medical support to aid in their recovery.

The Ministry said it remains committed to ensuring the child’s well-being and will continue to provide updates as appropriate.
