WTCG conference to address key issues in domestic and international banking

The World Trade Centre Georgetown (WTCG) will convene a conference on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 at the Exhibition Centre, Pegasus Suites and Corporate Centre which will address a menu of key issues in domestic and international banking.

Themed ‘Banking Made Easier’ the conference, sponsored by Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) is being put on at a time of transformational developments in global business, technological advancements in banking operations, enhanced regulatory safeguards and the need for easier access to financing on the part of small and medium size enterprises.

Senior Minister, Office of the President with responsibility for Finance and the Public Service Dr. Ashni Singh will declare the conference open while among other speakers at the daylong event include Mr. Robin van Puyenbroek, Executive Director-Business Development, World Trade Centers Association and Co-Chair of the US EXIM Bank’s Advisory Council on Small Business, Governor of the Central Bank of Guyana Dr. Gobind Ganga, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) Chairman, Komal Samaroo and Mr. Dowlat Parbhu -Chief Executive Officer, Demerara Bank Limited (DBL).

The conference will bring together industry leaders to discuss actionable strategies and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of banking in Guyana and its relationship to the global banking sector.
