The local motorsport fraternity was plunged into mourning on Saturday with the passing of revered motorbike competitor and Life Member of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club, Terrence Clarke.
‘Duckling’, as he was fondly called, competed in the bike category in the 70s and 80s and was 50cc champion for a number of years. He later moved up to the 125cc.
Clarke is regarded as one of the local pioneers of grasstrack racing. He lived through the era of locally built bikes to factory bikes.
