Motie, Joseph, Sinclair and Grimmond are top Berbice players of 2024

The Berbice Cricket Board on Saturday evening held its annual award ceremony, rewarding top cricketers, clubs, administrators and personnel for their contribution to the sport in 2024.

The ceremony, hosted at the St. Francis Community Developers building in Rose Hall Town, was attended by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Charles Ramson Jr., Minister of Natural Resources and Patron of the Berbice Cricket Board Vickram Bharrat, former Health Minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy, President of the Guyana Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies Director Bissoondyal Singh, REO of Region Six Narindra Persaud and former West Indies cricketers Devendra Bishoo and Marlon Samuels.

Among the top performers for the past year were left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie in the category of Best International Player of the Year, fast bowler Shamar Joseph for International Performance of the Year, all-rounder Junior Sinclair for Senior Male Cricketer of the Year and spinner Sheneta Grimmond for Senior Female Cricketer of the Year.
