Guyanese Joy Brown and Amisha Ramlall were named in the All-Star Five at the conclusion of the 2025 FIBA Caribbean Women’s Championship at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Guyana on Sunday night.

The announcement of the duo to the All-Star Five ignited loud cheers from fans who had gathered to witness the final game of the tournament, which saw Guyana defeating Jamaica 83-74 to clinch a spot at the 2026 CentroBasket Women’s Championship.

Brown and Ramlall were standout players for Guyana in a campaign that saw the home side copping silver with a 3-1 record from their four games.

Unbeaten Virgin Islands (4-0) and third placed Bahamas (2-2) were the other two teams to qualify for the CentroBasket tournament.

Skipper Brown was the tournament’s leading rebounder with 12.8 boards per game. She also contributed 16.8 points and 6.5 assists.

Ramlall, meanwhile, was one of the most impactful players for the host nation. She posted averages of 19.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
