Team Coco’s riders turned out a convincing performance to sweep the top three positions of the 14th annual Victor Macedo memorial road race on the East Bank corridor on Sunday.

Organised by the Flying Stars Cycling Club, the race started with the traditional ‘roll start’ from Peter Rose Street in Queenstown to Homestretch Avenue, where the riders were officially sent on their 70-mile journey.

Senior and junior riders will proceeded to Dora on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway, while the veterans, juveniles, and mountain bikers went to the hill after the Splashmin’s Fun Park. The cyclists turned at their respective points on the Highway and returned to Homestretch Avenue for the finish.

The Team Coco’s trio Stephano Husbands, Hamzah Eastman and Mark Harris crossed the finish line hand in hand in celebration following a dominant performance.

Rounding off the top 12 finishers were Silvio Inniss (Linden Bauxite Flyers), Walter Grant Stuart (Continental CC), Raymond Newton  (Roriama), Christopher Holder (Team Coco’s), Shaquel Agard (Linden Bauxite Flyers), Michael Anthony (Team Evolution), Raphael Leung (WS United), Christopher Cornelius (Team Evolution), and Kemuel Moses (Team Alanis).
