The staff of the Marriott Hotel in Kingston, Georgetown got a scare of their lives this afternoon (Saturday, January 14, 2017) after noticing that a weapon was left unattended in a room at the hotel.
The News Room learnt that the owner of the weapon only received a license about two days ago.
The weapon, a shotgun was left unattended in room 423 of the Marriott Hotel when a hotel staff came into contact with the weapon and became alarmed.
The ranks from the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) were called in immediately.
They commenced investigations and found that the weapon was legal.
