A 40-year-old fisherman of Mosquito Hall, Unity, Mahaica East Coast Demerara was dragged into his neighbours yard by two men and killed Wednesday night after he complained of them stoning his house.
Dead is Zahir Ali; Police Headquarters said Ali was seen fleeing the premises drenched in blood with wounds to his left side chest and abdomen.
He was taken to the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The incident occurred at about 19:20hrs; one of the neighbours has been detained while the other is in hiding.
Police said Ali and the neighbours were not on speaking terms but he confronted them after they stoned his house Wednesday night and a heated argument ensued during which they pulled him into the yard and murdered him.
