2 years jail for Taxi Driver who fondled child

A 36-year old Taxi Driver was sentenced to two years imprisonment by Magistrate Judy Latchman for the sexual assault a 7-year-old girl.

Anansuaruddin Khan of Diamond New Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was found guilty of the offence on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. The incident occurred between June 1 and June 30, 2017, in Georgetown.

According to reports, the defendant was hired by the victim’s mother to collect the child from school and drop her home daily. The court heard that Khan fondled the child once when he picked her up from school.
