A 25-year-old Alberttown, Georgetown businessman appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court today, charged with selling ecstasy to a minor and the illegal possession of the prohibited drug.
Dorel John appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan where he pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on $170,000 bail.
It is alleged that between December 1, 2017, and January 31, 2018, in Georgetown he sold ecstasy to a child.
It is also alleged that on February 12, 2018, at Lot 141 Alberttown, John had two grams of ecstasy in his possession.
According to reports, the child was questioned by the police and based on information obtained, police ranks raided John’s Alberttown home and found ecstasy in his bedroom.
The matter was adjourned to February 22, 2018.
