A joint search operation by ranks of the Guyana Police Force and the Prison Service on Friday morning at the LusginanPrison, East Coast Demerara and the Georgetown Prison resulted in the discovery and seizure of a number of prohibited and illegal items.
At the Lusignan Prison, ranks found four improvised weapons, 30 razor blades, four small plastic containing a quantity of cannabis, six cell phones, a pair of scissors, a spoon, two cell phone batteries, two nails, five earpieces, seven chargers, a quantity of wire, nine needles, three geometry set compasses, five sim cards, two memory cards, a broken glass and 10 lighters.
