The 14-year-old West Bank Demerara school girl, Akeila Grimshaw was found on Wednesday afternoon after she was reported missing by her parents on Monday.

The teen’s mother, Marissa Grimshaw-Walcott did not want to disclose further details about the circumstances under which the teenager was found.

Akeila lives at Parfaite Harmonie with her mother and father, Police Inspector Lingard Walcott along with an older sibling.

Grimshaw went missing about 15:30hrs Monday at the Vreed-en-Hoop junction.

The mother had told the News Room that she was picking up her daughter after school at the junction and while looking for parking, the teenager crossed the road to buy a slushy.

That was the last time the mother saw Akeila until Wednesday.

A missing person’s report was filed at the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station.
