A 29-year-old Police Officer was killed on the spot when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car just after midnight on Sunday.
Dead is Carl Roach who was driving a Ducati motorcycle.
The accident occurred at the corners of Brickdam and Lime Streets, Werk-En-Rust, Georgetown at about 00:20hrs.
The News Room understands that Roach was proceeding west on Brickdam when a black car that was proceeding in the opposite direction attempted to turn south onto Lime Street and collided with him.
It appeared that Roach sustained a massive head injury as he was seen lying in a pool of blood around his head.
His body remained at the scene covered with a blue cloth for a while before it was removed.
