Seven new COVID-19 cases from 45 tests

Seven more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases to 327 as of July 18, 2020.

The Ministry of Public Health revealed that the seven new cases came from 45 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.

To date, the total number of persons tested is 3,603 with 3,276 being negative.

The total number of recoveries is 163 and the number of deaths remains at 19.

As a result, the number of persons in institutional isolation remains at 145 including five persons in the COVID-19 ICU while thirteen persons are in institutional quarantine.

    Covid is not being beat here in Guyana. We need a legitimate Government that can access wider financing and pay people to stay home…..people such as vendors and retail/service persons.

    We will be going into total lockdown as other Countries open up.
