Two men from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) – a 50-year-old and a 48-year-old is recorded as the country’s latest COVID-19 deaths.
Both men died while receiving care at a medical facility on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health revealed in a statement. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 220. The latest fatalities also take the total number of deaths for the month thus far to 21.
The deaths come a day after two elderly persons also died from COVID-19.
