Overseas-based Guyanese strangled, beaten to death- autopsy
Hemraj Pardesi, called ‘Prem’, the overseas-based Guyanese whose lifeless body was found at his house in Reliance, East Canje, Berbice, died after he was hit to the head and strangled.
This is according to an autopsy conducted on Thursday morning at around 08:05hrs.
According to a police report, the autopsy was conducted by Dr. V. Bridgemohan at the New Amsterdam public hospital.
The exact cause of death was given as ligature strangulation and blunt trauma to the head. The body was handed over to relatives for burial.
Meanwhile, police are still investigating the murder of the man.
Several people have been arrested.
