Nirvana Wimal is the top student of this year’s National Grade Assessment (NGSA). She is from the Success Elementary Primary school in Region Four. She got 524 marks.
This was announced by the Minister of Education Priya Manickchand on Friday morning at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre in Liliendaal, Georgetown.
This year, 13,821 pupils wrote the NGSA at 503 centres across the country on August 4 and 5. It is important to note, however, that some 14,380 pupils were registered for these examinations.
And this year, the NGSA was conducted and marked entirely by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
