A 23-year-old man transporting two suspected stolen goats was arrested at Liverpool Village, Corentyne Berbice in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Police Headquarters reported that the driver was stopped by ranks on patrol in the vicinity of Liverpool Village; a search conducted on the car HB 7127 found the two goats in the trunk.
Police said the driver alleged that he was hired by three men to transport the goats from No. 35 Village.
Police are now on the hunt for the three men.
“The driver was arrested and escorted to the Whim Police Station where the goats were lodged to be claimed,” police reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
