Marlon Otto Nunes, a 36 year-old minibus driver who resides at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was arrested and charged by police officers on Wednesday after he was caught driving on a pavement.
In a photo uploaded to social media on Tuesday, Nunes’ white minibus was seen driving along the Providence public road pavement on the East Bank of Demerara.
Police Headquarters reported that the man was subsequently arrested and charged for dangerous driving.
Nunes was also reportedly charged for driving a tinted vehicle and was in breach of prescribed conditions of certificate of fitness. He is scheduled to appear at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
