Linden teacher was stabbed 30 times – PME

A post mortem conducted on the body of 22-year-old Kelly Charlotte, the Linden teacher killed by her ex-partner, revealed that she was stabbed 30 times.

The post mortem was conducted by government pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on Wednesday.

Charlotte, a primary school teacher at the Christianburg Primary was killed on Sunday last.

Her ex-partner, Leston Baynes, a 28-year-old truck driver who was accused of fatally stabbing her, was found hanging in an abandoned house at Wismar, Linden on Tuesday.

On Monday, Police Headquarters reported that Charlotte ended an abusive relationship with the man and opted to stay with her sister.

The sister told investigators that the suspect picked up their child at about 10:00hrs on Sunday and brought him back at about 21:15hrs.

Soon after the man returned the child, however, the sister heard Charlotte screaming and ran to the front of the house.

There, she saw the suspect brutally stabbing her sister.
