Western Logistics achieves ISO certification

Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc., a 100% owned and operated Guyanese Company has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification on 20th December 2022.

The Company was engaged with the Centre for Local Business Development (CLDB) – HSSE Mentorship Program in November 2022 leading up to the preparation for external audit by Equal Assurance. The certifying body (Equal Assurance) made the recommendation after two (2) audit stages were undertaken over three (3) days in December 2022. The auditors found that Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc processes conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS).

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard dedicated to a quality management system. This consists of principles of customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence based decision making, and relationship management.

The Scope of Seven (7 ) Aspects certified are as follows;

  1. Vessel Management Services (Including Crew Change and Immigration Assistance), 2. Custom

Brokerage Services (including Cargo Management, Ship Spares and Monitoring), 3. Meet and Greet

Services, 4. Managing of Work Permits and Processing of Visa applications including Entry Visa on

Arrival (EVOA), 5. Procurement, Ship and Rig Chandlery Services, 6. Vessel Importing and Exporting,

  1. Managing Vessel In-Water Activity Permits.

This certification will instill confidence and trust in our clients through customer-centric service delivery, while adhering to statutory and regulatory requirements. This standard improves our client service engagement with good quality products and services offered by the Company.

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification is a testament of Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc. commitment to implement and maintain a top quality management system that consistently meets and exceeds the requirements and expectations of operators, tier one contractors and others participating in the Petroleum industry in Guyana.
