The relatives of 17-year-old Myle Munroe have been left devastated after the young man reportedly drowned on Saturday during an excursion at a creek along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

He worked at Qualfon, Providence, East Bank Demerara.
The man said during the excursion and while everyone else left the water, at some point, it was discovered that Myles was nowhere to be found.
The group immediately started looking for him at about 15:30 hrs but it wasn’t until 18:30 hrs that his body was found in the water.
The Police was alerted of the incident and the body was taken to the Diamond Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“They found the body under the water…the police and his workmates called me to inform me.
“I cannot say [if he could swim] and even if he could have, I can’t say how well,” Munroe said.
Myles was the youngest of five children and according to his father he was always loving towards others.
“I thank God that we have the strength to deal with it but we are not comfortable with the situation because it’s exactly what we never wanted,” the grieving father said.
