Naasson Henry, 23, of Vauxhal Canal #1 Polder, West Bank Demerara was arrested Friday night with a quantity of marijuana at Bagotville, WBD.
A police report noted that a police patrol led by Assistant Superintendent of Police nabbed the man at about 19:45 hrs with 69.3 grams of Marijuana.
As the Police patrol vehicle approached the ‘Famo’ shop, a Rastafarian man started to run to the back of the yard when he saw the police vehicle.
Ranks gave chase and caught up with the man who had a haversack on his back. The ranks searched the haversack in the man’s presence where a quantity of suspected marijuana was found in several ziploc bags.
Henry was arrested and escorted to La Grange Police Station, where the marijuana was weighed in his presence and it amounted to 69.3 grams.
The man was placed in custody, pending further investigation. He is slated to be charged.
