Karan Dhuman, a 17-year-old painter of Bushlot Village died on Monday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a Guyana Power and Light (GPL) utility post.
The Police Force on Monday said an investigation was launched into the incident that occurred at about 01:50 hrs on the Bushlot Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice, involving motorcycle (#CL 9018), owned and driven by Dhuman.
Police said Dhuman was speeding at the time of the accident.
As a result of the collision, he pitched off the motorcycle.
Public spirited citizens and the police picked him up in an unconscious condition and took him to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His body is currently at the Ramoo Funeral Home awaiting a Post-Mortem Examination.
For this week alone- 4-5 person killed just riding motor cycle.
A very deadly or productive week.
