Taxi driver electrocuted while tending to ‘illegal’ connection at home

The body of Rondel Wilson called ‘Max’, 36, a taxi driver, was found at his Church Street, Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara residence in a nearby drain on Sunday.

It is alleged that Wilson had set up an illegal electrical diversion system in his building, with several live electric wires in close proximity.

Residents in the area reportedly heard a loud noise (an explosion) as Wilson was tending to the wires at the time of the incident.

His body was found lying motionless in a nearby drain by neighours who summoned the police.

Upon arrival, the police checked the body for marks of violence, but none were found.

Wilson was escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The body was transported to Ezekiel Mortuary and is awaiting post-mortem examination.

    That’s not the body of the deceased… who is this paper fooling ?
    Most Guyanese are smart- except for a few – playing with live illegal electric wires.
