Mark Ferell, a 52-year-old ramp attendant of Trans Guyana Airways at the Ogle Airport, was nabbed with 59.5 pounds of marijuana on July 10 and was Friday remanded to prison.
Police Headquarters said Ferrell was charged on Friday with the offence of Possession of Narcotics for Trafficking.
He appeared before Magistrate Rushell Liverpool at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty. Due to an explanation given, however, the Magistrate reportedly entered a ‘not guilty’ plea.
Ferrell was remanded to prison and will appear in court again on August 6.
