CANU seizes gun, ammo and cocaine
Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) intercepted a motor car at Parika, East Bank Essequibo, on Monday and found several parcels of cocaine.
In a release, CANU also noted that the ranks went to a suspect’s residence and found a pistol, 14 .22 rounds of ammunition, and several more parcels of cocaine.
Four suspects were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed a total of 9.034 kilograms.
Investigations are ongoing.
