Logos Hope welcomes its 6 millionth visitor

The world’s largest floating book fair Logos Hope Two, which is docked in Port Georgetown, today (Tuesday January 3, 2017) welcomed its six millionth visitor to the ship, Sharmila DeAbreu and her family.

Sharmila DeAbreu and her family came in for a huge surprise as she was welcomed as the Logos Hope’s six millionth visitor on Tuesday.

 

The ship is docked at the Guyana National Shipping wharf at La Penitence Public Road and has been docked since December, 2016.

Miss DeAbreu and her family members were visibly excited when the announcement was made as she expressed to News Room, “it is really really amazing and we were very surprised.”

The lucky six millionth visitor was awarded a gift, a voucher allowing her to shop for six thousand units of books as well as a tour of parts of the ship other visitor’s are not allowed to see.

The Logos Hope Two arrived in Guyana on December 22, 2016 and is expected to depart on January 8.

Apart from the thousands of books on sale at affordable prices, crew members who hail from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds also perform for the visitors.

The Logos Hope spreads the word of God all over the world and also offers humanitarian services to those in need. It has a crew of over 400 persons.
