Acting on information received, the Guyana Police Force this evening discovered a haversack with illegal items at Kingston, Georgetown.
According to the police, ranks visited a bushy area in Kingston, Georgetown at about 18:30hrs where they found an AK47 Rifle, an extended .380 magazine and 196 live rounds of 7.62by 39, .40 and .380 ammunition.
No arrest was made.
An investigation is in progress.
