A thirty-two-year-old Police Constable is at the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing severe injuries to the head after he was found unconscious early Monday morning.
Police Headquarters revealed that Police Constable # 24045 Winston Cooper of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is stationed at the Presidential Guard; he was found with injuries to the head at about 05:30hrs on the Mandela Avenue Public Road.
Police did not release any other details as to how the Presidential Guard received his injuries.
“A further update will be given later as no other detail is available at this time but the Guyana Police Force prays for his recovery,” the Police statement noted.
